Review: The Row

A little break from Air Awakens for today because The Row has just been released! Congratulations Jenn!

I love Jenn as an author and a friend. She told me about this book last year during the interview at the Teen Author Smash in Paris. She was still working on it but the few words that she gave me were enough to get me interested. A few months ago I saw a post on Facebook asking bloggers to apply for an ARC (advanced readers copy), I applied and not long after I received the ebook.

I received this book from the publisher but all of my ideas and opinions are my own.

Review: Water’s Wrath (Air Awakens #4)

Front cover of Water's Wrath

I was really happy when I heard that I would receive an ARC of Water’s Wrath! Because of that, thankfully my wait after Earth’s End wasn’t very long. Every time Elise manages to grab me in such a way that really need the next book asap, and let me tell you, she did it again.

At the end of this review you can read about the cover, but it does have some spoilers. If you don’t want to read them just skip this part. The rest of the review is spoiler free.

Review: Earth’s End (Air Awakens #3)

I bought this book together with Fire Falling, but before I could continue I had to read Tales from the Front. I suggest reading that before you start on Earth’s End. It can be a struggle, because you really want (have to) read on after what happened in Fire Falling, but it’s for the good of the story.

At the end of this review you can read about the cover, but it does have some spoilers. If you don’t want to read them just skip this part. The rest of the review is spoiler free.

Do you know those books? The ones where you look up and all of the sudden you see that your tears have made puddles on your lap. This book is one of them.

Underneath this review you can read about the cover, but it does have some spoilers. If you don’t want to read them just skip this part. The rest of the review is spoiler free.

Review: Air Awakens (Air Awakens #1)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I had seen the Air Awakens books on Instagram and they seemed interesting, but there were so many other things I had to read too that I put it in a file in the back of my head. My friend, however, had other plans for me. She decided that it was too amazing to put on my waiting list. And she was right, because even before I had my hands on an actual copy of the book I was part of The Tower Guard. The story did not disappoint.

Air Awakens: Welcome to Solaris

CT-Banner-2 (1)

For my first real post I decided to jump into the Crystal Crowned tour by introducing you to Solaris. The Air Awakens series by Elise Kova is amazing. It is one of the first series after The Hunger Games, Divergent and Throne of Glass where I said to myself YES! I need all of these books in my life. My life is not complete without them. I got book 1 as a gift from my very good friend and booktuber: ReadingMissFroggy. After I read it I immediately bought the next two books that were already published: Fire Falling and Earth’s End and I joined the Tower Guard. I was lucky enough to receive Water’s Wrath not long after and now we are close to getting the very last book in the series: Crystal Crowned, which comes out the 12th of July.

Introductions

Hi! And welcome to my blog.

My name is Melisa and I am a 24 year old Media and Communications student at the City University London. I’ve been blogging with my friends on Booknuts.nl for a year and a half now, but decided I also wanted my own little space. That is how Princess of Reading was born. Even though Dutch is my mother tongue, I prefer English. Hence the reason I am starting uni in London in autumn, so I can hopefully work at an English publisher.

Before all of this I worked for a Dutch Publisher and I was part of their YA Promoteam. We helped promote YA in bookstores, at events, interviewed authors and helped where ever we could. I loved it so much that I didn’t want to let it go after our year was up, so I started blogging.

On this blog you will find book reviews, film reviews, DIYs, and post on a lot of other things that keep me busy.

Hope you enjoy!

Love,
Melisa
